Troy Electrolyte Replacer

Troy's Electrolyte Replacer contains a balanced formulation to correct electrolyte depletion and acid base disorders in horses under heavy muscular work and hot weather.

Also indicated as an aid in the treatment of dehydration if given with water.

Electromix Electrolytes and Sweat

All horses receiving ongoing training for performance events or racing should take special care of daily electrolyte replacement to maintain body fluid balance and prevent dehydration.  Regular administration, prior to sweating, makes sure muscles can perform at optimum levels.

Many people fail to realise that horses need more than just one salt. Electromix is bicarbonate free but contains a balanced mix of sodium, potassium, sulphate and chloride ions.  All of these salts are lost in sweat and when provided in correct ratios can improve stamina, leading to better performance.

Endura-Max

Equivit ENDURA-MAX is a dietary salt supplement specifically for endurance horses. It is formulated with readily available sources to replace the electrolytes that are lost in sweat during exercise, particularly in hot, humid environments.

An added benefit of ENDURA-MAX is the added calcium and magnesium. During long rides, enough calcium and magnesium may be lost to result in metabolic disorders such as thumps and tying-up.

Endura-Max can be given to horses prior to, during and after endurance rides via a syringe mixed with water. It can also be mixed with the grain portion of the diet, or mixed in with water if horses are trained to drink it in water.

Equivit Restore

Equivit Restore replaces electrolytes lost during exercise and travel. Through their sweat horses lose chloride, sodium, potassium and small amounts of calcium and magnesium.

If these electrolytes are not replaced, horses will be dehydrated, suffer from muscular weakness, fatique and poor performance. The composition of Equivit Restore mimics that of horse sweat and restores eletrolyte balance. The dose rate should be adjusted according to the amount of sweat loss.

Horsport Rehydration and Recovery

Horsport Rehydration and Recovery contains electrolytes to prevent dehydration and to replace losses in sweat, glucose to replace energy used by cells, and glycine to aid in absorption.

The product contains a combination of Electrolytes, Glycine (an Amino Acid) and Glucose which aid rehydration and helps replace electrolytes lost through sweating during strenuous exercise and transportation

Humidimix is an “acid” electrolyte mix suited to horses that work at moderate speed over extended periods, or for horses that sweat heavily.

Since it is specifically formulated for heavy sweaters it does not contain “fillers” such as sugar, lactose or table salt, but encourages drinking to prevent dehydration

Humilyte

Humilyte replaces vital electrolytes lost by horses that sweat heavily. Hot weather, tropical climates and long distance exercise can induce extreme sweating which may deplete electrolyte levels.

Humilyte helps treat alkalosis and low blood chloride levels and aids in recovery from dehydration when given with water.

Do not mix with alkaline salts. Do not administer to horses with high blood potassium levels. Ensure an adequate supply of clean drinking water is available.

Mix one 24g scoop into the feed morning and night (48g per day), or dissolve into the drinking water at the rate of two scoops per 25L, or administer as a drench up to a maximum concentration of our measures (96g)/4L water, as required.

KelatoLYTE

KelatoLYTE is an advanced electrolyte replacer containing potassium and the essential electrolytes lost in sweat.

Stressalyte is an “alkaline” electrolyte mix designed for horses performing fast exercise over short periods of time, such as gallopers.

During training all horses lose essential body electrolytes through sweating. Research has shown that the proportions and types of electrolytes lost may vary due to the type of exercise and climatic conditions.

It does contain bicarbonate and citrate to buffer acid build-up.
